Silent Hill: Origins

Silent Hill: Origins

This game is a prequel, set 7 years before the first game, and intended to explain the series's eponymous town's backstory. Players will be playing on the role of Travis Grady, a lone truck driver making a routine delivery when he makes an unfortunate detour to the mysterious town of Silent Hill. Players must help Travis escape the city's horrific inhabitants and unravel the mystery of the strange hallucinations from Travis' past, visions that have plagued him since childhood.

Updated controls maximize combat, allowing Travis to use his fists, his wits and an array of weapons including a meat cleaver, pool cue and sledgehammer to fight his way through the nightmarish world of Silent Hill and face multiple endings based on his actions. This control scheme has been chosen to optimize handheld play. A new feature allows the player to quickly switch their equipped weapon with the use of the D-pad. This feature has been implemented due to the breakable nature of the weapons. Silent Hill Origins follows the same basic formula of the previous titles in the series. It is shown from a third person perspective with alternating camera angles; however, rather than an option to move the camera around, the player can now press a single button to pan it behind Travis.

Street Fighter IV

Street Fighter IV

Street Fighter IV is a PS3 fighting game and the next installment in Capcom's long-running Street Fighter series. It was annunciated on October 17, 2007. A pre-rendered teaser trailer done in a 3D sumi-e style showed Ryu brawling with Ken in a dark meadow, but no gameplay was shown due to the project's infancy at the time.Although Capcom USA owns the rights to Street Fighter, improvement has been engaged to an internal studio at Capcom of Japan. The release is yet to be arrange. It also available for Xbox 360 console

The detail of the story was revealed in the January 2008 issue of EGM that the game will take place in between Street Fighter II and Street Fighter III making it a sequel to the former and a prequel to the latter.

Ono clued that Ryu and Ken's master, Gouken, might be featured in the game, after mentioning EGM's infamous April Fool's "Sheng Long" prank about Street Fighter II and III --Sheng Long was once assumed to be the name of Ryu and Ken's master, due to a misinterpreted win quote said by Ryu in the original Street Fighter II.(In the same issue)

Graphics

The characters and environments will be depicted in 3D computer graphics and happens to use a stylized cel-shading effect to lend the characters and environments a hand-drawn look. The gameplay video featured a full 3D, cel-shaded environment and characters, fighting on a 2D plane that shifted and rotated. The version of the game shown to EGM ran at consistent 60 frames per second.

Gameplay

Street Fighter IV will produce 3D depicted characters and backgrounds, the game will still play in traditional 2D, thus creating a "2.5D" effect. While more concrete details on the game's gameplay have yet to be revealed, producer Ono has uttered that he wants to keep the game closer to Street Fighter II than to its sequels, and as such the "parry system" from Street Fighter III has been dropped. A new system temporarily called "Saving" has been presented, as well as Ultra moves. The traditional 6 button control scheme will return, with new features and special moves incorporated into the input system, mixing classic gameplay with additional innovations. On December 30, 2007, a gameplay trailer showed how typical gameplay worked, with the 2D plane of fighting shifting and rotating, characters reacting facially to particularly hard blows.

Twisted Metal: Head-On: Extra Twisted Edition

Twisted Metal: Head-On: Extra Twisted Edition

This February of 2008 the original developers of the Twisted Metal franchise released the port of TM: Head-On to the PS2. This port features the same gameplay as was on the PSP with same characters, arenas, and storymodes. However in this game, Eat, Sleep, Play decided to also include features which were in development for the unreleased/incomplete Twisted Metal: Black 2 which was released to have been named TM: Harbor City. The gameplay for this mode which is called TM: Lost in terms that the content of the TM:HC game were never used, is similar to that of the TM: Black engine.

The graphics are not as refined and arena interactions are turned off. In inclusion to the release of the new content a new character debuted which was to have been in the next game going by the name "12-Pack". Nothing is known as of right now about "12-Pack's" character other than it is what looks to be a modified derby car, similar in design to that of Spectre from TM: Black. The arenas and characters were to be utilized in the second of the Black series however for not fully known reasons was scrapped. For bonus features TM:H-O:ETE provides a half hour documentary on ideas, production, and complications of the series told by the original developers called "Dark Past." A walk around tour by controlling Sweet Tooth himself and the never released ending videos of all the characters from the original Twisted Metal.

Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots

Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the PatriotsThe first PS3 incarnation of this blockbuster series. Metal Gear Solid goes back to the future after the last episode (MGS3: Subsistence) put the player in the role of Big Boss during the Vietnam era. This time it's the Solid Snake we all know and love, except he looks like he's now in his sixties, in a war-torn Mogadishu-style battleground where the theme is "Nowhere to hide."

Mark in 2014, 5 years after the "Manhattan Incident", Metal Gear Solid 4 represents a world where the restraint of military intervention on foreign soil has been eased, fueling the need for private military companies (PMCs) to fight proxy wars for business purposes. Nanotechnology has become prominent, both to enhance the capabilities and enforce the loyalty of mercenaries. The 5 biggest of these PMCs are owned by a single mother company named Outer Haven, which is operated by Liquid Ocelot. Amassing an army whose manpower rivals that of the United States, Liquid prepares to launch an armed insurrection. With the world once again in crisis, a rapidly aging and disillusioned Solid Snake is deployed into the Middle East by Roy Campbell to terminate Liquid. Guns of the Patriots will take place in five locations throughout the world. So far three locations have been revealed: the Middle East, South America and somewhere in Eastern Europe.
